Now on its lucky 13th year, Manila Food and Beverage Expo (MAFBEX) opens this Independence Day, June 12, at the World Trade Center, Pasay City to let the Philippine food industry “Experience the Fusion” of the local and international food trends and technologies.
The annual event, which was inaugurated by honorable guests such as MEM Founding Chairman Joseph Ang, Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Emmanuel Piñol as represented by DA Undersecretary Evelyn Laviña, Senator Cynthia Villar, and numerous ambassadors from other countries, hopes to stress the importance of being able to adapt to the thriving global food market, while still maintaining the authentic local taste that all Filipinos love.
MAFBEX 2019 houses several food exhibitors that showcase a fusion of domestic snacks and meals, foreign delicacies and fine dining cuisines, and organic yet delightful selections. The expo not only features food itself, but kitchen and food businesses essentials as well such as cookware, kitchen flooring, food delivery trucks, and modern kitchen appliances which help businesses as well as food-lovers to have their kitchen more workable.
Other attractions in the expo include Stage Activity Demo: a platform for new innovations in the food industry to be showcased, MAFBEX Seminars: a way for foodies to have the inspiration to level up their cooking, Flair Competitions: a stage that welcomes the potential of the world-class art of bartending, Chefs of the World: an opportunity for local and international chefs to showcase their five star meals, Young Hoteliers’ Exposition (YHE) Culinary Competition: an avenue for promising students to boast about their culinary skills, and Franchising Zones: a chance for aspiring businessmen to choose in a wide array of franchise brands.
