INGREDIENTS:
250 g. Wei Wei Squid Rings
6 cups vegetable oil
2 cups buttermilk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 Lemon wedges
Chopped chili peppers
Chopped parsley
PROCEDURE:
1. Put salt, cornstarch, flour, cayenne and ground pepper, garlic powder, and buttermilk in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until settled.
2. Wash Wei Wei Squid Rings to remove excess dirt.
3. Soak the squid rings in the buttermilk mixture. Wait for 3-5 hours.
4. Heat a large saucepan, and then put the vegetable oil shortly after. Bring to boil the oil.
5. Drop the soaked squid rings in the pot carefully. Fry until golden brown.
6. Let the excess oil drip first before transferring the calamari to a large platter.
7. Squeeze the lemon wedges over the dish. Sprinkle the chopped parsley and chili peppers to taste.
